You don't need a very long memory to remember the traditional red phone kiosks on the street scene, but why was this one at Morville painted white? This old postcard from the collection of Bridgnorth's Ray Farlow does raise that intriguing question. Of course, being a black and white image, we can't be certain it was white, but it certainly is a very light shade, rather than the familiar red. There is no date, but based on the vintage of the van we shall have a guess at around 70 years ago.
