Further seven Covid deaths at Shropshire hospitals
Another seven Covid deaths have been confirmed at the county's major hospital trust.
NHS England said that all seven patients had died while in the care of Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust (SaTH).
It means 508 people have now died with Covid while in the care of county NHS trusts – 472 SaTH, 30 at Shropshire Community Health Trust, and six at The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
There have also been a total of 257 care home deaths in the county – 190 in the Shropshire Council area, and 67 in Telford & Wrekin.
Office for National Statistics data also shows that 201 people have now died with Covid in Powys – an increase of 12 on last week.
