The Help Appeal has created the posters to encourage people to stay home in the fight against coronavirus, ensure social distancing rules are followed and relieve pressure on local hospitals.

Robert Bertram, chief executive of the Help Appeal, said: “I speak with hospitals all over the country every day and simply felt the need to do what we can to help.

"We hope to channel the indomitable spirit of the British people during the Second World War, the inspirational speeches of Winston Churchill and wartime icons such as Rosie the Riveter, to encourage people in the battle against coronavirus.

"Everyone needs to batten down the hatches for a bit longer to help protect their local hospitals and save lives.”
