Staff at Wellington Orbit will be delivering more than 40 food hampers to health workers at Telford's Princess Royal Hospital over the next few weeks.

Hannah Davison, head of food operations at the community-owned cafe and cinema, is putting together the packages while the usual cafe trade is restricted due to lockdown measures, and is looking for residents to put forward messages of support.

The hampers will include produce from local traders along with some treats, although Hannah said there is one thing missing.

"We're looking for messages of support and thanks to the wonderful NHS staff that we can print out and include in the hampers," Hannah said.

"It's a great way to get involved with the projcet and will show how much the recipients are valued by us all."

Phil Morris-Jones, chairman of Wellington Orbit, said: "The Wellington Orbit is more than just a cinema, it's a project to delight the community.

"This is a small token of our appreciation, combined with messages of support and gratitude from the community for the incredible work done by all of the staff."

To get involved and send messages of support, visit wellingtonorbit.co.uk/nhs and fill out the form.

They will then be printed and included in one of the food hampers.

Residents have until January 22 to take part in the initiative.
