One further coronavirus death at Shropshire hospital

NHS England confirmed that the patient died in the care of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH).

It brings the total number of deaths at health trusts in the county to 376 – 348 at SaTH, which runs Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital in Telford; six at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry; and 22 at Shropshire Community Health Trust.

There have also been 200 deaths in care homes related to Covid-19 since the pandemic began.

Office for National Statistics data shows 154 people are suspected to have died with the virus in Powys.
