MP asks when driving tests will resume
A Shropshire MP has asked a minister whether tests will be allowed to resume when the lockdown restrictions end next month.
Daniel Kawczynski, MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham, asked whether driving tests or lessons would be allowed to take place immediately after the present restrictions end on December 2.
Transport Minister Rachael Maclean said while driving lessons were permitted under the previous 'tiered' measures, it was too early to say whether they would resume straight away.
"It is not yet clear what impact the new restrictions will have on driving lessons and driving tests, but the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency will update its advice as soon as it has clarity," she said.
