Shrewsbury vlogger Brendan James, 29, is behind the 'Brendan Explores' project set up to spread positive vibes and to inform about places to visit on foot.
He produced the short film series being aired on via YouTube and Facebook to help the community to cope during the latest lockdown and to discover parts of the county they were unaware of.
Brendan says: "Like many other people I've been struggling with my mental health since the start of the pandemic and I've found it incredibly beneficial to get out once a week and go for a walk in my local area. It's a mental breath of fresh air when I go for my walks and I take the camera along with me to hopefully share some of that positivity with others, which I'm glad to say has been well received.
"Lockdown has forced me to explore much more of my local area in Shrewsbury and it really has been the silver lining to this pandemic. I've discovered and learnt things about the town that I probably never would of done if it wasn't for the recent lockdowns.
"Most of my adventures are solo or with one other person from another household and I always advise people to follow the lockdown restrictions.
"I can't stress enough about the benefits of getting out of the house, exploring the countryside and exercising not only for your physical health but your mental health as well.
"Over the past 12 months I've grown a loyal community on my YouTube channel and the feedback I receive on a daily basis is what motivates me to carry on making more videos. I never thought I would be able to build a great community under such difficult circumstances but I'm thankful for people joining me virtually on my walks."
In addition he has recently created an edited version of his adventures featuring subtitles for the hearing impaired. His walks include the discovery of a hidden beach, Sundorne Castle, Church Stretton and Ellesmere.
