Integral Medical Holdings had come under the spotlight after it was revealed the company had until Sunday to get its accounts to Companies House.

However, chief executive Richard Power says the accounts have now been submitted.

He said: "It is 100 per cent normal; Companies House gives you a set time to get the paperwork in, and we have submitted them within that time.

"The accounts have been submitted and there is no change to anything that is happening currently."

The company, which is owned by a parent company based in The Bahamas, runs a total of 16 GP practices and clinics across the West Midlands, which could have been at risk had the company not submitted its accounts in time.

In Shrewsbury, Whitehall Medical Practise along with Shropshire Walk In Centre are both under its management, along with Telford Surgery and Wrekin Surgery.

Reports suggested the accounts were up to five months overdue, however Mr Power said they had now been submitted within the allotted time frame given by Companies House.

Other practices are based in Coventry, West Bromwich, Nuneaton and Birmingham.
