Bosses announce service will temporarily move from Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust has revealed that paediatric ophthalmology outpatient appointments will temporarily move from Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital from May 30.

Adult ophthalmology outpatient appointments and the urgent eye clinic for adults and paediatric patients will also move to the nearby Copthorne Building at RSH from June 26.

The services are currently provided in clinic 10 at RSH.

It forms part of the trust's plan to create a new eye department in the Copthorne Building which health bosses say will have modern facilities, new equipment and increased capacity.
