The Farming Community Breakfast, which will be the first in a series across the district, will take place at Clive’s Fruit Farm  on January 8.

As well as a free breakfast, there will be a farm walk and a chance to hear how Clive’s Fruit Farm has diversified over the years.

There will also be the opportunity to chat about the development of future social activities within the farming community and how we might support them going forwards.

The event has been organised by Linda Price, Rural/Farming Community Builder at Malvern Hills District Council (MHDC), in partnership with Emma Hamer, County Advisor at The National Farmers Union (NFU).

Linda said: “Coming from a family farm myself and having worked with the farming community for many years, I know that family farming can be a joy and sometimes a challenge.

"This is an opportunity to come together to enjoy a free breakfast, a farm walk and hear the diversification story of the Clive farming family in the Upton-Upon-Severn area of our beautiful, rural district. It will also be an opportunity to hear ideas on how we might support the farming community in the future.

Emma added: “I am very excited to be working with Malvern Hills District Council to organise these farming community breakfasts. Farming can be a lonely life for some, so anything we can do to bring farmers together, enjoy some social time with like-minded people and learn a bit about another farm business is hugely worthwhile. I am very pleased to be working with Linda and we  are very grateful to the Clive family for opening their café for this breakfast and giving us an insight into their diversified business. I look forward to seeing many NFU members there.”

Places are limited and booking is essential. To book, contact Linda on 01684 862165 or email Linda.Price@malvernhills.gov.uk
