The theme of the two evenings will be a ‘Flavour of Farming in Ulster’. There will be visits to four farms in the form of pre-recorded videos followed by live Q&A sessions.

The first evening will focus on beef and sheep enterprises while the second on dairy.

The aim of these virtual visits is to whet the appetite for visiting Northern Ireland in person in 2022 for the planned BGS summer tour. The virtual event is free to attend and bookings can now be made through the BGS website.

The BGS annual meeting will again be held online this year as the in-person summer meeting is not taking place. The meeting will start at 11am on June 29. Details on how to book to attend will be circulated to BGS members in early June.

Tentative plans are also in place to hold two farm walks in early September subject to a continued improvement in the situation. Further details will be posted on the BGS website https://www.britishgrassland.com/ as they are confirmed.
