Local farm machinery dealer wins industry’s top award
RVW Pugh, a family-run farm machinery and service business based in Churchstoke, Powys with depots covering Cheshire and Shropshire has won the 2017 Farm Machinery Dealer of the Year Award.
The Award was announced and presented to Emma Leah and Mary Evans at the annual Service Dealer Conference and Awards on 16 November by James Buchanan, Field Sales Manager of sponsor Kramp UK Ltd.
The Awards, organised by the leading business magazine Service Dealer, are now in their 14th year and recognise outstanding sales, service advice and support by dealers in the garden machinery, professional turf are machinery, farm machinery, forestry equipment and ATV/Quad industry.
RVW Pugh was placed in a category against some of the largest and diverse dealers in the country. After a thorough judging process Pugh’s were announced as a finalist in the category alongside some stiff competition, a multi depot John Deere Dealer and a well-established AGCO dealer with 5 depots in the East Midlands area.
An integral part of the judging process for the Awards included customer feedback. High praise received for RVW Pugh included, “Everyone will offer great deals, but RVW Pugh Ltd put themselves out once the purchase has been made. We can get hold of someone if we need advice out of hours and the service technicians carry out routine services to fit in with our business hours to minimise downtime which is very important to us.”
The judges said, “This family business established in 1978 has grown across its 3 branches. It is well documented that the large machinery sales are still suffering, and Pugh’s has been very much bucking the tractor sales trends this year. Pugh’s is a strong business that attracts sales.”
