Cow rescued from slurry pit in Market Drayton

A cow had to be rescued from a slurry pit in Market Drayton today.

Firefighters were called to Longslow in the town at about 8.50am.

Three appliances, including the rescue tender, were mobilised from Market Drayton and Wellington.

A vet was also on the scene.

They found a cow stuck in a slurry pit and crews used rescue equipment to get it out.

The incident was dealt with in about an hour and a half.
