St Mary's Church of England Primary School in Mucklestone, near Market Drayton, held a virtual concert via Zoom called 'Spring into Song' on the final morning of the half term.

School office manager Jane Sellman said: "After a difficult half term of remote learning and home-schooling for our children and parents, the event aimed to bring a ray of sunshine to our community.

"With the help of our musical and technical experts, Martin Jones and Dom Qwynne, we were able to stream songs, poems, prayers and performances from our ukulele, piano and woodwind musicians. Children attending school performed live with those at home and there was even a performance of 'Tiptoe through the Tulips' from our staff choir, which included all our staff members!

"The event was an uplifting end to the half term with one parent describing it as 'a Herculean effort – a truly awesome lockdown concert'".
