Acton Burnell-based Concord College is hoping that the new website – concordsummer.com – will serve as a showcase of the summer school’s ‘excellence and history’.

The college is confident the dedicated summer school website will enable prospective students to access summer school-specific information, updates on exciting on-site programmes, photo galleries, news and booking forms as well as more recent digital versatility.

The site, which has been five months in the making, is readable in no fewer than 11 languages to tailor to Concord’s international student market as well as local students who want to enjoy the ‘Concord experience’.

Last year, the course attracted study from a record 43 different nationalities.

Kari Quant, summer school director with 18 years summer school experience at Concord, said: “There is always something special about studying at Concord.

“As well as new knowledge, students benefit from international friendships, as well as a new found confidence and independence not always achievable in large cities or towns.

“We hope the new website will make it easier for students, parents and agents to find information about the summer courses as well as providing advice and guidance to create their ideal course and tailored timetable.”

Concord’s summer school won a Quality English Digital Award – an accolade given for ‘innovation in the online school’ – last year.

Covid-19 then consequently led to the launch of a new remote programme, Concord Summer Online 2020.

Mrs Quant added: “The new website, coupled with our growing alumni network, will enable current and former students to find friends from yesteryear and share special Concord summer memories.”
