Tracie Anne Brookes, of Mill Street in Prees, ripped off the nursery she worked for as an office manager, then spent her ill-gotten gains on personal items and garden furniture.
Between 2015 and 2018 she stole tens of thousands of pounds from Prees Heath Forest Nursery having orchestrated the company's move to using internet banking before using the account log-in details to siphon funds.
When her boss, David Gwillam, learned about her deception, she went off work sick for a month. Shrewsbury Crown Court previously heard Brookes, aged 56, had been considered a friend and had spent time with Mr Gwillam outside work.
When arrested and interviewed by police, she accepted taking the money but said Mr Gwillam was "very generous" and "looked to help people".
