Samuel Breeze attacked a rival fan after a Shrewsbury Town match

Samuel Breeze, aged 18, attacked a Wycombe Wanderers fan outside Coleham Primary School after Salop faced the Chairboys in a League One clash on February 25.

Breeze, who referees and coaches games for children as young as four, has been handed a three-year football banning order as part of his punishment for the "nasty" attack.

Telford Magistrates Court heard how Breeze shouted at the opposition fans from the other side of the road, asking if they were Wycombe fans. They said yes, after which a level of "goading" went on.

Breeze head-butted the victim, causing him "immediate pain" which forced him to end up having time off work with headaches, prosecutor Kate Price told the court.
