Man caught with crack cocaine in Shrewsbury fined £120

A man caught in possession of crack cocaine has been fined £120.

Daniel Lane, aged 38, was caught with a quantity of the Class A drug in Shrewsbury on January 31 this year.

Lane, of Ryton Close, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to one count of possession of a controlled drug of Class A.

As well as the fine, magistrates ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the crack cocaine that was seized. Lane was also ordered to pay £185 in court costs.
