Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after attack outside supermarket

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a serious assault in Telford.

Detectives launched an attempted murder enquiry after a man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an attack outside the Aldi supermarket in Donnington last month.

West Mercia Police said that on Monday a 21-year-old of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Stoke-on-Trent. He remains in custody.

"The incident, outside Aldi in Donnington around 8.30pm on April 14, left a man with serious injuries," a police spokesperson said.
