Police in Newport said that they spoke to the rider of a white motorbike after receiving complaints about anti-social driving.

Pc Lee Thomas from the Newport Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "With regards the bike we have had a number of complaints from local residents the past week regarding the manner in which it was being ridden; at excess speed, pulling out in front of other drivers and cutting other drivers up.

"Following our appeal on social media, more people have come forward to describe issues they have had with the rider and also to provide details of who the rider is.

"The rider has been spoken to by our team and issued with a Section 59 warning notice which means if there are any further similar complaints in the next 12 months police will have the power to seize the motorbike, over and above any prosecutions for driving/riding offences."

Section 59 of the Police Reform Act allows constables to take action against nuisance drivers.
