The young victim was targeted in Shrewsbury by a man he had met on a Prince’s Trust course.

Milen Sachdave, now 21, of Mayfield Road in Birmingham had had a dispute with the man, Shrewsbury Crown Court heard this week.

Prosecutor Mr Rob Edwards said Sachdave walked up to the victim and punched him, breaking his glasses.

The other attacker was Charlie Vaughan, now 20, of Wellington Street in Whitchurch, the court heard.

Both pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm on Tuesday.

Judge Peter Barrie imposed a 30-week sentence on both, suspended for one year.

They will also both carry out 40 days of rehabilitation activity.

For Sachdave’s role in the assault, he imposed a further 60 hours of unpaid work.
