Police have urged anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward after a worker at a Spar shop in Dawley was stabbed on Wednesday afternoon.
At about 2pm a man entered the Eyton Stores branch and demanded the person behind the counter hand over cash, before stabbing them. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A man was arrested on suspicion of assault and robbery after the attack and has since been bailed.
West Mercia Police Detective Sergeant Steve Goddard said: “I would like to reassure the community in Dawley that we are working hard to identify the offender and we would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the image as we believe he can help with our enquires.
"Local people can expect to see an increased police presence as our investigations continues.”
An air ambulance was sent to the scene but the injured man was taken to hospital by road.
