Police said large amounts of cannabis plants and other illegal substances were recovered, and a number of people were arrested in the Chirk, Pen Y Cae and Rhos areas.

Wrexham's rural neighbourhood policing team carried out the warrants across two days.

Sergeant Tom Dewberry said: “This demonstrates our commitment to taking action against those who cause harm in our communities.

"I would like to encourage those with information to report it either through 101, online or anonymously at Crimestoppers – 0800 555 111”.
