The incident happened while officers were targeting the antisocial use of off-road vehicles in Ketley and Oakengates throughout yesterday(25).

Police said the vehicle was seized after the rider was seen driving it illegally in the Ketley and Overdale area.

It comes after a number of reports to police about off-road vehicles being driven in an antisocial manner.

Officers from Dawley also seized a quad bike during the operation.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "We understand that the riding of these bikes may appear to be fun to those riding them, but it does cause panic and alarm to others using public spaces, such as roads, footpaths, parks and community areas.

"Residents living nearby are affected by the noise these vehicles make and we regularly see the impact this riding has, with grassed areas being churned up. Riders are also placing themselves and others at risk of injury due to the manner in which the bikes are ridden.

"We will continue to target this antisocial behaviour, looking to seize bikes and prosecute riders when offences are committed."
