Car stolen from racing team

A motor racing team has appealed for witnesses after one of its cars was stolen.

This Honda Civic was stolen from BTC Racing

The Honda Civic FK8 belonging to BTC Racing was stolen from Beckbury, Shifnal, on Friday night into Saturday morning.

A spokesman for the team said on social media: "Stolen car alert. Can you help us? our company car (Honda GP19 VLV) was stolen from Beckbury, Shropshire. If spotted please would you DM us with any info, or contact the nearest police station. Any help much appreciated."

BTC Racing is a team based in Brackley, Northamptonshire, and competes in the British Touring Car Championship. Among its roster of drivers are Michael Crees, Josh Cook and Tom Chilton, who has appeared in several episodes of Top Gear and ITV2 dating show Take Me Out. Chilton finished third in the 2018 BTCC season.

A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said: "We’re carrying out enquiries after a car was stolen in Beckbury overnight Friday, January 8 into Saturday, January 9. Enquiries are ongoing, anyone with information should report this online under the Tell Us About section of www.westmercia.pnn.police.uk quoting reference 00040_I_09012021. Alternatively information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
