William Brookes School, in Much Wenlock, has had its email system compromised and is urging people to delete any suspicious emails.

The school, which is currently closed for the Easter holiday, confirmed this morning it had been made aware of the issues and is working to fix the problem.

Broseley and Wenlock Safer Neighbourhood Team confirmed West Mercia Police were aware of the incident.

The school tweeted: "We have been made aware of issues with our emails this morning and can confirm WBS email system has been compromised.

"We are doing everything we can to sort the situation – delete any suspicious emails."
