Two-year ban for Welshpool drink-driver

A Welshpool man has been banned from driving for two years for a drink driving charge.

Rufus Jake Williams, 21, of Berriew, Welshpool, drove on a road in the town in December while more than two times the legal limit.

Welshpool Magistrates Court heard that Williams was driving a Vauxhall Astra, on Church Street in Welshpool on December 7, when he had 92 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

He was banned for two years and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
