Ice cream van damaged in arson attack in Telford

Police have launched a hunt for a suspected arsonist after an ice cream van was deliberately set alight in Telford.

The vehicle was parked, in Ellens Bank, Lightmoor, when it was attacked. No one was injured.

West Mercia Police said officers and the fire brigade were called to the scene shortly after the fire broke out in the van which had been left at the rear of the owner's property.

Emergency crews attended shortly before 7pm on Saturday.

Witnesses with information or who saw anyone behaving suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident should phone West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 676S of 9 February.
