Appeal after late night attack

A man needed hospital treatment after being assaulted in the street.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the attack, which took place in Wem, earlier this month.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "The assault happened around 1.20am in the early hours of Sunday, December 2, on High Street.

"The man, in his 30s, was injured and received hospital treatment."

Police are appealing for information about the attack and any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting reference 73s 021218, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
