CCTV: Watch masked robber enter Telford Co-op

CCTV footage has been released of a robbery at a Telford supermarket.

Witnesses who recognise the man in the video are being asked to come forward after he entered the Co-op in Limes Walk, Oakengates, and demanded money from the till. He was carrying what is believed to be a hammer.

After the theft he ran away towards Oakengates Theatre car park.

It happened at around 8.50pm on November 29.

The man is described as being about 6ft, white, of slim build, and wearing dark clothing.

His face was covered but he was wearing grey gloves, carrying a white carrier bag and ran with a limp.

There were no reported injuries.

Detective Sergeant Andy Dawson from West Mercia Police said: "We would like to speak to the man in the footage as he may have information which could assist with the investigation.

"If anyone witnessed the offence or recognises him, please call West Mercia Police."
