Man attacked outside Telford Indian restaurant

A man was attacked outside an Indian restaurant in Telford.

The assault took place outside the Taj Mahal restaurant on Bridge Road, Wellington, at about 3pm on Saturday.

The victim, in his 50s, was approached by a man and punched several times in the face.

He sustained injuries to his face and went to hospital for treatment but has since been released.

The offender is believed to be in his 20s and described as Asian, with a beard, and is believed to have been wearing a black shirt and black trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 428S of October 20.
