Martin Dennis Anderson had stayed at a house with young children 40 to 50 times without telling the police, a court heard.

The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offenders register at Telford Magistrates' Court.

Anderson, of Kensington Way, Oakengates in Telford, was ordered to pay £270 in fines, given a 12 month community order, a 30 day rehabilitation programme and 100 hours of unpaid work by magistrates.

Jamie Wade, mitigating, said: "He has pleaded guilty and fully accepts he has to be punished. He is extremely sorry and knows it was a stupid decision."

Anderson, who now works as a delivery driver, was put on the sex offenders register for 10 years in 2010 for sexual activity with a 14-year-old.

Chairwoman, Louise Bouic, said: "We have listened very closely to what we've heard and we will go with the recommendation.

"You will be given a 12 month community order, partake in 30 rehabilitation days and given 100 hours of unpaid work. You will pay the costs of £185 and an £85 victim surcharge."
