Police renew appeal in murder inquiry

Police today renewed their appeal for witnesses following the death of a man in Audlem on the Shropshire border.

Adam Lovatt was injured in an attack near to the Bridge Inn in Audlem near Market Drayton on May 25.

Mr Lovatt, the owner of a deli in the town died from his injuries at the Royal Stoke Hospital.

Cheshire police said today that a man remained on police bail following the death of Mr Lovatt.

"The investigation into the death of Adam Lovatt in Audlem is still ongoing and a man remains on police bail," a police spokesman said.

After Mr Lovatt's death police said they were treating it as murder.
