Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on A442 near Market Drayton

The rider was taken by ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital following a crash between a silver Vauxhall Insignia and the black BMW motorcycle.

Police said they believe both vehicles were attempting to overtake a third vehicle at the time of the crash.

They were travelling northbound on the A442 through Peplow at about 12.05pm on Saturday.

Police are looking for anybody with information to come forward, in particular the driver of the vehicle they were trying to overtake.
