William Cimadoro, 33, of Lon Pant y Llyn, Newtown, must also register as a sex offender for 10 years and a sexual harm prevention order was made for the same period at Mold Crown Court.

He admitted charges involving the possession of almost 22,000 indecent images of children, including 45 in the worst category.

Prosecuting barrister Karl Scholz said Cimadoro had a history of offending involving violent and threatening behaviour.

Mr Scholz said police searched Scholz’s home in May and saw a laptop computer which was then examined.

Philip Clemo, defending, said Cimadoro had pleaded guilty.

Judge Rhys Rowlands told Cimadoro only jail could be imposed. He said: ”These are serious and also disturbing offences.”
