C-Ellie-Brate, which is rainbow coloured, was scratched and cracked as someone tried to climb on it.

It was repaired on site, but calls are still going out to volunteers to watch the ducks during the night.

The latest attack comes as Peace Duck was returned to its plinth last night after it was dragged into the River Severn.

The damage is being linked to drunkeness on evenings and at weekends.

A team is being recruited to guard the ducks. It has set up a forum on their Let's Go Quackers Facebook page.
