Charity box stolen in Oswestry crime spree

A charity box has been stolen from a cafe in Oswestry.

The Air Ambulance collection box was chained to the counter of the cafe in Willow Street.

It was wrenched free and taken just after 3.30pm on May 20.

Police said the suspect is described as tall, in his mid 20s to early 30s with short brown hair and wearing an all-grey Nike tracksuit and white T shirt.

Police are also investigating the theft of a Giant road bike which was chained to a post in Cross Street at lunchtime on May 17. The bike along with the chain, was taken between 12.50-1.10pm.

A shopper's mobile phone was stolen while the shopper was at a supermarket checkout in Blackgate Street, Oswestry, on the evening of May 18. The phone was eventually traced and recovered after the offender had attempted to block the tracker.

Over the weekend of May 18-21 a dashboard camera was stolen from an unlocked car on a driveway in Oakhurst Road, Oswestry.
