Telford man in court charged with woman's murder

A man accused of murdering a woman in Telford will be asked to enter a plea in court in May.

Paul Beddoes, 44, appeared via video link at Stafford Crown Court yesterday.

He is charged with the murder of Lynn McNally at an address in Mullinder Drive, Ketley Bank, between February 19 and 21.

Beddoes was due to enter a plea during yesterday’s hearing but the court was told there had been a delay with obtaining a psychiatric report.

Ms McNally, 46, of Mullinder Drive, died of multiple knife wounds.

She was found at a property in Mullinder Drive.

Beddoes, also of Mullinder Drive, was told by Judge Michael Chambers QC that he will be asked to enter a plea at Stafford Crown Court on May 25.

He was remanded in custody.
