Police probe two Shrewsbury attacks

Two people were assaulted in Shrewsbury in separate incidents.

On Friday evening at about 8.30pm, a 16-year-old boy was attacked at the Tankerville Street end of Castle Walk.

Police said he was on his way home when he was set upon by a group of six or more people and had his hat and glasses taken from him.

West Midlands Ambulance Service treated the teenager for a serious injury to the cheek.

On Sunday evening, a man was attacked at the other end of Castle Walk by a group of four young people. He required medical treatment for a wound.
