The owner of the field between Cherrington and Kynnersley will now be left with the bill to have them properly disposed of.

Police said they were investigating where the tyres had come from.

Anybody who knows anything about the abandoned tyres should call Telford & Wrekin Council.

To report fly-tipping, call 01952 384384.

The council is currently cracking down on fly-tippers across the borough.

Extended powers to deal with those dumping rubbish are part of the "Better Homes for All" scheme. It is hoped that the new powers will help to make Telford a tidier place to live.
