Woman arrested over double Shrewsbury attack is released on bail

A suspected female attacker has been released on police bail after a man and a woman were injured in Shrewsbury.

The 23-year-old woman, from Shrewsbury, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on Sunday.

Police were called to Harlescott Close, at 9.35pm to reports of an assault at a property.

A man in his 20s sustained injuries to his ear and a woman in her 20s sustained facial injuries.

Both patients were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

West Mercia Police are not appealing for witnesses.
