Shrewsbury woman, 30, admits false accusations of rape

A Shrewsbury woman who falsely accused several men of raping her has pleaded guilty to seven charges at crown court.

Anna Costin, 30, faced seven charges of committing a series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice in 2016.

The defendant, who is also known as Annelise Costin, of Coldridge Drive, Herongate, admitted all the counts at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

Costin will be sentenced next month.

The matter was adjourned for reports before a sentencing and Costin was granted unconditional bail.
