The silver and red Ifor Williams model, worth more than £1,000, was taken at about midday on Friday from an address on Pendeford Mill Lane in Codsall.

It was then seen in Bridgnorth at around 1pm being pulled by a silver Vauxhall.

PCSO Louise Jones said: “A silver Ifor Williams trailer has been stolen. The vehicle that took it was a silver Vauxhall and the offender was described as a ‘tall lanky male’.

“Please keep an eye out for this trailer being pulled by a silver vehicle.

“The trailer had no registration plate on it. It had three black wheels and one silver one and the park brake was broken and all strapped up.

“Please be vigilant with your own trailers and security; check your security lights work, check any alarms work and report anyone you consider suspicious.”

South Staffs Police also circulated an appeal with an image of the trailer on its Twitter feed.

The post said: “Ifor Williams trailer stolen today just after 12pm from Pendeford Mill Lane, Codsall. Silver vehicle involved, no reg known.

“Last seen on rabbit run in Bridgnorth area, approximately 1pm. Vehicle was struggling to get up a hill towing.”
