Burglars in hoodies raid house near Shrewsbury

Two burglars wearing hoodies and carrying a crowbar damaged windows and stole items from a house near Shrewsbury.

The pair, wearing hooded jackets, set off alarms in the house in Pontesford, Pontesbury, about 1.10am on November 7.

Police were alerted but the intruders had left the premises.

West Mercia Police spokeswoman Laura Maltby said: "Police were called to a report of a burglary at a property in Pontesbury, Shrewsbury, shortly before 1.30am on Tuesday.

"It is thought entry was gained and a window was also damaged. It is not yet known what exactly was removed.

"Inquiries are currently ongoing and officers are keen for people who witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously to come forward.

"They would also like to speak to two individuals wearing dark hoodies who were seen in the area at the time."
