The eggs were believed to be thrown at about 8.30pm on October 3 in Prospect Road.

Market Drayton SNT tweeted: "Do you know the identity of anyone in this picture? We'd like to speak to them about throwing eggs at a property. Please call 101."

It comes as police have already warned children following a number of reports of eggs being thrown at properties in the Market Drayton area.

Residents have complained that a group of people have been throwing the eggs at houses in the town and in Hodnet.

Constable Alan Ambrose, of Market Drayton police station, said: “Police have been dealing with some of these incidents.

"We have already spoken to a group of children in front of their parents regarding one of the incidents. Some strong words of advice have been given.”

Meanwhile, last month West Midlands Ambulance Service said one of its emergency vehicles was out of use for an hour after it was hit with an egg while operating in Coventry.

It stayed out of service while it was cleaned up.
