Oswestry care home worker accused of £5,000 fraud

A care home manager accused of defrauding a resident to the tune of nearly £5,000 has appeared in court to face the allegations.

Cherie Reynolds, of Ashgrove Residential Home, in Oswestry, faces a total of 22 offences of theft and fraud between July 2015 and October 2016.

She appeared at Telford Magistrates Court yesterday where no plea was given.

District Judge Nigel Cadbury committed the case to Shrewsbury Crown Court where it will next be heard next month.

Reynolds, of Church Lane, St Martins, was granted conditional bail.

The case relates to allegations that cash totalling £4,837 was missing from the account of a late resident.
