Kamil Lejman was convicted of six counts of rape at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday.

Lejman, 31, of Highlander Drive, Donnington, admitted the charges in December last year, which date back to December 2015 and January 2016.

The victim appeared in court to hear the sentencing. Judge Jim Tindal praised her for her bravery, describing her as a “survivor”. Lejman was jailed for 15 years, with the sentences for each charge to run concurrently.

Judge Tindal said the Polish national would probably face deportation on his release from prison.

Lejman will also be placed on the sex offenders register for life.
