The fire broke out outside a factory on the Lamledge Lane Industrial Estate in Shifnal on Wednesday evening.

Fire service crews from Telford attended the incident shortly after 10pm and found general rubbish and tyres ablaze.

Fire investigators believe that the fire was started deliberately.

Derek Taylor, a member of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service's Prevention Team, said: "This incident shows what can happen if rubbish is left outside overnight.

"It's a great temptation for people who think it's fun to start fires.

"Our advice to businesses is not to leave rubbish out overnight unless there is absolutely have no alternative. If rubbish has to be left outside make sure it is kept as far away from buildings as possible."
