Police are appealing for information after a householder in Wall-under-Heywood, near Church Stretton, found a man in his house on the morning of April 20.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, about 5 foot 7 inches tall and of medium build. He was wearing dark clothing.

When he was discovered he claimed to have chased another young male out of the house and said that he had called the police.

He then left and the homeowner discovered the police had not been called by him.

No entry had been forced but there were signs that the house had been searched and entry was possibly through a door which was left unlocked when a cat was let out at 6am.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident reference 0099s of April 20. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
