Arrest warrant as Telford burglar, 31, is jailed in his absence

A Telford burglar who twice missed his court appearance has been jailed for three years in his absence.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Mark Andrew Purves, aged 31, of Coachwell Close, after he failed to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on February 8 and again yesterday, when a further warrant was issued.

In his absence Purves was found guilty of burglary and a number of motoring offences and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Purves is described as white, 6ft tall, with short dark hair.

Police believe he is in the Telford area and would like to hear from anyone who sees him or has any information about his whereabouts.
